Breakspear Riding Club - Join Us

Based in the South Hertfordshire Area

Being a member of Breakspear Riding Club is about enjoyment, learning more about riding and horsemanship and making friends. It is a support network for riders at all levels. 

We welcome members of all experience and ability. Whether you ride or prefer to support from the ground, please join us.

We organise regular quality dressage and jump training suitable for all levels.

During the summer, we hold a series of evening dressage competitions from Intro to Novice levels.

How to join

British Riding Clubs have introduced a new membership platform run by Sport:80 which all riding clubs now have to use. 

To join Breakspear Riding Club or renew your membership, click HERE.

Once you've accessed or created your Sport:80 account  you can complete all of your details and membership payment.  Note  that although you may already be a Breakspear member, to renew, you have to reselect Breakspear RC from the riding clubs list.

How much does membership cost?


Membership fee from 1st Jan 2024 is £35. (Note there is also a £1.50 Sport:80 transaction charge.)

Subscriptions run yearly, from joining or renewal.

Please note that Breakspear Riding Club can only accept members who are 18 years old or over. 

Training, demos and competitions are open to both members and non-members. There are reduced fees for members. For members, we also operate a points system for the dressage series building towards end of season trophies. We also organise a number of social events to which members and their friends are very welcome.

Affiliation with British Riding Clubs

Breakspear Rding Club is affiliated to British Riding Clubs (Area 6) which will give you access to local and national competitions. It will also provide you with third party insurance cover while taking part in activities organised by Breakspear and other affiliated riding clubs. You will also receive Rider magazine quarterly containing news, information and articles exclusively for members of clubs affiliated to British Riding Clubs. Your membership card will enable you to receive fantastic discounts for a range of products from magazine subscriptions to pasture management products.
