Breakspear Riding Club - Events

Based in the South Hertfordshire Area

We organise regular quality dressage and jump training suitable for all levels.

During the summer, we hold a series of evening dressage competitions from Intro to Elementary levels.

Training, demos and competitions are open to both members and non-members. There are reduced fees for members. For members, we also operate a points system for the dressage series building towards end of season trophies.

We also organise a number of social events (usually at a local hostelry!) to which members and their friends are very welcome.

Daisy Coakley will take dressage training – Daisy is 22 years old and lives in Sarratt. She is an accomplished eventer competing up to Novice Open/Intermediate. Since 2012 she has also burst onto the dressage scene, winning seven national championships from preliminary to advanced medium. She has had much experience from a young age of dealing with complicated horses and enjoys finding a way around the various issues. She also likes her sessions to be fun and productive.

After eighteen months with no price increase Daisy has raised the price of her lessons by £5.00. She has in that time passed exams to become an official BD UKCC Level 3 coach. We are still lucky enough to benefit as a Club from a discount from normal price. Lessons for BRC from 1st October will cost £40.00 to include arena hire at Two Counties Equestrian Centre.

Cancellation within 48 hours will still attract the lesson fee unless a replacement can be found.

We are currently holding these on a Thursday from 12.30 pm during the winter subject to Daisy's competition schedule. If you are interested:

We are very pleased to offer jumping lessons with Edward Brook. Edward started riding horses seriously at the age of 15 and gained his BHSII by the age of 19, making him one of the youngest people at the time to achieve this qualification. He soon realised that he found showjumping the most exciting of all the riding disciplines. He is a highly respected rider on the circuit - competing both internationally and nationally. He has also ridden horses for many owners. He is always on the lookout for young stock in the hope of finding a new star; and has produced horses from three years old to Grande A standard, ready for selling.

Edward managed Patchetts Equestrian Centre for five years before buying into Caldecote Farm. He has a passion for teaching and is a Level 3 accredited coach for the BSJA, encouraging his pupils to get the most out of their horses in a sympathetic and motivating way.

His is keen to help his pupils from Pony/Riding Club through to Grade A, from the novice rider to the more experienced; young riders to the more mature.

Cost: £30.00 per person for a 45 minutes session in a group of two people. Non Members £35.00 – space permitting.

Cancellation within 48 hours will still attract the lesson fee unless a replacement can be found.
