British Riding Clubs hold a number of UK wide competitions annually for teams and individuals from affiliated Riding Clubs.
The country is divided into Areas; Breakspear Riding Club belongs to Area 6.
Qualifying combinations from the Areas go to :
- Winter Championships (Dressage and Showjumping)
- Combined Training
- Festival of the Hunter
- National Riding Clubs Horse Trials Championships (and London & South East Championships)
- National Riding Clubs Championships (Dressage, Riding Test, Show Jumping and Style Jumping)
- Dressage to Music Championships and Quadrille
There is also an opportunity to qualify for the Riding Clubs competitions at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and the London International Horse Show : Olympia
There are various restrictions applying to the various levels of competitions. For full details contact Judy Ross or check British Riding Clubs website. Any one interested can also download an application form.
Most events are for teams and / or individuals. Teams are usually of 4 riders with 3 to count. There are Preliminary Entry closing dates for the Area competitions and these are well in advance of the competition dates. All interested riders must have paid their subscriptions so their names are on the list held by British Riding Clubs Head Office.
Your horse requires a fully up to date vaccination certificate with a diagram of his markings (as per passport) and you are required to take this with you to Area competitions where they are checked
